Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 12 May 2025  |  Effective: 12 May 2025

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Wira Bijak website at wirabija.biz and any advisory services we provide. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Wira Bijak is a business advisory practice based at No. 25, Jalan Macalister, 10400 George Town, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, we respectfully ask that you refrain from using our website or engaging our services.

2. Our Advisory Services

Wira Bijak provides small business advisory and consulting services. We currently offer three engagements:

  • Finding the Light — a single-session engagement (RM 700)
  • Safe Passage Review — a five-week engagement (RM 1,850)
  • Harbour Partnership — a six-month advisory relationship (RM 3,400)

Full descriptions of each service are available on our website. Service scope, session arrangements, and deliverables for each engagement will be confirmed in writing before work begins.

3. Nature of Our Advice

Our advisory work draws on experience and careful consideration of each client's individual situation. However, all advice, recommendations, and written reflections provided by Wira Bijak are offered as professional opinion only. They do not constitute legal, financial, accounting, or tax advice.

We encourage clients to seek appropriate professional advice (from qualified lawyers, accountants, or financial advisers) before making significant business decisions. While we aim to offer thoughtful, practical guidance, outcomes depend on many factors outside our control.

Nothing in our sessions, written materials, or correspondence should be interpreted as a commitment to a particular result.

4. Engagement and Payment

An engagement begins once both parties have agreed in writing to the scope and terms of the service, and any required payment has been received. Payment arrangements — including deposit requirements and payment schedules — will be communicated clearly before an engagement commences.

All fees are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Invoices are issued electronically and are due within the timeframe stated on each invoice.

We reserve the right to pause or defer work if outstanding payments have not been settled within a reasonable period, after notice to the client.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

We understand that business circumstances change. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please notify us as early as possible. Our approach to cancellations is as follows:

  • Sessions rescheduled with more than 48 hours' notice — rescheduled at no charge
  • Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice — a session fee may apply
  • Early termination of a multi-week or multi-month engagement — a proportional fee may apply for work already completed

Any fees for early termination or late cancellation will be discussed and agreed before being applied. We aim to handle these situations with understanding and fairness.

6. Confidentiality

We treat everything shared with us during enquiries and engagements with complete discretion. Information about your business, finances, and circumstances is held in strict confidence and will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, except where required by law.

We ask that you treat any materials, frameworks, or written guidance we provide as confidential to your engagement and not share them commercially or publicly without our agreement.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, design, structure, and visual elements — is the property of Wira Bijak and is protected under Malaysian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt any part of this website without our prior written consent.

Written materials prepared specifically for your engagement (such as written reflections and business plans) are provided for your personal and business use. Broader distribution or commercial use of these materials requires our written agreement.

8. Website Use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to use it in any way that:

  • Breaches any applicable Malaysian or international law or regulation
  • Is harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading
  • Attempts to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems
  • Transmits unsolicited commercial communications or spam

We reserve the right to restrict access to this website without notice if we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

9. Third-Party Links

Our website may occasionally include links to external websites for reference or convenience. These links are provided in good faith; however, we have no control over external sites and accept no responsibility for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Visiting linked sites is at your own discretion.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Wira Bijak's liability in connection with any advisory engagement or use of this website is limited to the fees paid for the relevant service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or unforeseen losses arising from reliance on our advice or materials.

This limitation does not apply in cases of fraud, gross negligence, or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of our services will, in the first instance, be approached through good-faith dialogue between the parties. Where this is not possible, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
